Happy Friday, millennials!
Today’s Millennial On A Mission is a branding coach and consultant who hails from Detroit, Michigan but currently resides in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of Howard University where she studied legal communications, she is a full-time entrepreneur and operates her firm, the Victor Group LA independently.
Meet Victoria Reese.
MOAM: What inspired you to pursue your choice of career? Who are some individuals you admire in and out of your field of work? What challenges have you faced in building your business/brand, and what have you learned from them?
VR: There aren’t many people that do exactly what I do but I really look up to one of my big sister in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Karleen Roy (of The Vanity Group). I’ve technically been pursuing this career path since graduating in 2009, however, it took a while to get to this exact point. Over the years, I struggled with finding the perfect job that aligned with my lofty dreams. I’ve learned that entrepreneurship is not for everyone but its definitely for me.
To Victoria, being a Millennial On A Mission means to pave the way for her generation. “We are all at a crucial point in our lives and millennials have completely disrupted society. So it takes a little bit of adjustment for every generation,” she says. “I feel as though I am a millennial who is paving the way for the rest by being innovative and curating the “millennial way” for everyone to learn from.”
